Overshot Weir


Irrigation science has enabled the collection and distribution of water throughout history...with the radial gate as a prominent flow control structure used for over one hundred years. The basic scenarios through a control gate -- other than fully open or completely closed -- are overshot weir and undershot orifice. Each type of control has different advantages and measuring formulas but, traditionally required a specific type of gate for each flow type.
